The vision of Ambassadors of Compassion is to develop a generation of emotionally resilient, self-sufficient, and compassionate students overcoming their negative experiences and taking responsibility for their own lives, while serving the needs of their community, nation, and world.
They have a goal of reaching One Million students by 2025. The organization plans to extend into the San Francisco Bay Area in 2024 and would like to do so with a partnership with Rotary. Clubs in District 5170 are coming together to support and participate in their 10-week program. This program helps our high schoolers develop social and coping skills needed to deal with the complexities of life. This, in turn, enables them to become more productive and accomplish their goals and dreams.
We look forward to working with other interested SJR members to develop an outreach plan. Our goal is to inform school Superintendents, Principals, student club advisors, student leaders themselves and others to gage interest in participating in a kick-off event in 2024 to share the mission of Ambassadors of Compassion and build to initiate the ten-week program.
