Project Name: Ndejje Youth Center
Build and program a youth and vocational center for refugees from surrounding war torn African countries now living in Uganda. The project is a collaboration of Soccer Without Borders (www.soccerwithoutborders.com), the Soccer Silicon Valley Community Foundation (www.ssvcf.org), the Rotary Club of San Jose, and the Rotary Club of Kampala, Uganda. (Ndejje is a suburb of Kampala, the nation's capital.)

The youth center and its staff provide ongoing soccer programming to 105 youth. The space serves as a soccer resource center in which children and schools for the community can have acces to balls, uniforms and other soccer materials, as well as a communal meeting space. The center also hosts HIV/AIDS testing days in which everyone from the community can be tested for free. The center has several computers and internet access for vocational training.
