Culinary and Hospitality
Bringing people together around food and entertaining, combined with service to our Club, is a passion of this committee. The committee plans and hosts the annual Holiday Luncheon, donates and prepares a fun, creative, fine dining experience as an auction item at the Rotary Gala and supports the events of other committees.
The Committee meets regularly throughout the year, usually at 5:30 -6:00 p.m. at various sites, which can include a member’s home, the Gordon House or other locations.
On October 10th, the committee's Flavors of Aloha auction dinner was held at the beautiful home of Cindy and Jeff Faulkner for the guests of Carl and Kathy Cilker. Upon arrival, each guest was presented with a kukui nut lei, worn by royalty and given to special friends in the spirit of aloha. During the cocktail hour, guests enjoyed specialty cocktails, sparkling wine, delicious hors d'oeuvres, beautiful Hawaiian music and a relaxing waterfall. Some of the guests even enjoyed a round of bocce golf. Then seated at a beautiful island inspired table designed and donated by Chris Citti, and table and tableware donated by Larry Williams and Debbie Blackwell, guests enjoyed a 6 course dinner with beautiful wine pairings selected by Bert George, all followed by fun, after dinner activities. What's next for the Culinary and Hospitality committee? We will be decorating the Gordon House for the holidays in November with a holiday reception and hosting the Holiday Luncheon on December 16th for President Brian. Look for more information.
